BMW 340i Build – Turbo Upgrade & More!

At Mobile Mechanics of Edmond, we’re not just about fixing cars—we love building them too! Our latest project is a BMW 340i (B58), and we’re taking it to the next level with some serious performance upgrades. If you’re a fellow B58 enthusiast, you’re going to love this build!

The Build Breakdown

To push this BMW 340i beyond stock limits while maintaining reliability, we’ve upgraded several key components:

🔧 Turbo Upgrade

The heart of this build! A bigger turbo means more airflow, more power, and a whole lot more boost. This upgrade lays the foundation for big gains.

⚙️ Motive Reflex

A standalone controller that allows for precise tuning of the fuel system, ensuring smooth power delivery and optimal performance.

⛽ Turbo Fuel Pump & Low-Pressure Fuel Pump

Fueling is everything when you’re running more boost. Upgrading both the turbo fuel pump and low-pressure fuel pump ensures we can support the extra horsepower without fuel starvation.

🏎 RK Autowerks Intake Manifold with Upgraded Injectors

The RK Autowerks intake manifold increases airflow efficiency, while the upgraded injectors allow us to feed more fuel into the engine—critical for making big power on a turbocharged setup.

💨 FTP Charge Pipe

Stock charge pipes are prone to cracking under high boost, so we swapped in an FTP charge pipe for improved durability and better airflow.

Now that the hardware is installed, it’s time for dyno tuning and fine-tuning the setup for maximum performance. We’ll be posting updates, including dyno numbers, driving impressions, and more!
